Fans of the shrimp and grits and crab hash at Midtown's South City Kitchen soon won't have to head inside the Perimeter to enjoy their favorites. The first suburban branch of the contemporary Southern eatery is set to open at the Ivy Walk development under construction at the corner of South Atlanta Road and Cumberland Parkway in the Vinings area of Cobb. Look for a fall opening.
Also, at the site is in the Ivy Walk Development the doc is in. Veteran Atlanta restaurateur Fred Meyers has franchised a Doc Chey's Asian Kitchen restaurant to be located in Vinings. Meyers, who formerly was vice president of operations at Fado's Irish Pub and Restaurant, plans to open the new Doc Chey's in May.
"I've wanted to do something with pan-Asian cuisine, and I knew Doc Chey's had a really good reputation in Atlanta and the food was excellent," said Meyers, who previously held management positions at Houlihan's, Café TuTu Tango, Peasant Restaurant Group and Rio Bravo International Inc.
And who is developing all the residential high rises….just to give you an idea….
Pacific Group's West Village at I-285 and Atlanta Road will have condos of four to eight stories.
B.F. Saul plans to break ground on condos that will rise as high as 18 stories near I-75 at Circle 75.
Regent Riverwood and T.I. Riverwood plan more than 850 condos and half a million square feet of office, retail and restaurant space in towers in the south Cumberland area
Trammell Crow Co. is building a nine-story condo in Vinings.
Wood Partners is building a 19-story condo near Powers Ferry Road and Windy Ridge Parkway.
